Strata-Search, LLC is an international reservoir and exploration consulting firm, which offers creative solutions to the domestic and international petroleum industry. We specialize in the application of depositional facies analysis and sequence stratigraphy to (1) identify the stratigraphic-trap potential in underexplored basins, and (2) establish the detailed stratigraphic framework in reservoirs. In addition, Strata-Search LLC offers geological training courses for geologists, geophysicists and petroleum engineers.

Strata-Search, LLC was founded in 2001 by Dr. C. Robertson Handford. The company was formed due to the increasing need for major oil companies to better understand the stratigraphic and depositional framework of their reservoirs as a means toward improving reservoir management. Our principal office is located in Austin, Texas USA but we offer services in Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and southeast Asia.
